Upon entering Honeymoon Sweets in Tempe, Arizona I was pleasantly greeted by a beautiful showroom of immaculate displays of wedding cake creations. The beauty did not stop there as it overflowed into a showcase of pastries and desserts all made with the highest quality of ingredients and true precision in every detail.
From mini “Black & Whites” to Lemon Bars, Eclairs, Macadamia Coconut Pyramids and more, my eyes quickly narrowed in on their peach cobbler. Even with all of the sweets I sample every week, I have been dreaming, just dreaming of a delicious made-from-scratch peach pie! In that moment, Honeymoon Sweets became my fairy godmother and granted me my wish.
Deliciously ripe peaches sat ever so gingerly in a homemade butter tart shell with delicious crumbs that complimented each bite so well. Meeting in culinary school, owners, Tim & Joan show that the “honeymoon” stage can continue on for years upon years. The love between this couple overflowed in every dessert I sampled. Talk about passion, the sky is the limit when it comes to Honeymoon Sweets.
