I recently spent some time at the famous Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO, bellied up to the bar with Jimmy – the charming bar tender at The Whiskey Bar (a gorgeous historical bar from 1909). The way Jimmy was pouring drinks for me, you’d think he was trying to get me schnockered… I didn’t complain.
Here he shares his recipe for the ever so sexy and smooth Black Orchid Martini. Amazing, refreshing, elegant and one that will be on my list the next time I visit. And don’t forget the edible flower on top, eat it or wear it behind your ear, the decision is yours.
The Stanley Hotel’s Black Orchid Martini
2 oz Ciroc Red Berry Vodka
1/2 oz St Germain Elderflower Liqueur
Squeeze fresh lemon
Shake and pour into a chilled martini glass. Top with flower. Sip all sexy-like.
