If you’ve never been, let me dispel the myths of A Taste of Colorado – NO, this does not involve you licking streets or mountains. Ok, now that that has been cleared up, this is one of my favorite events in Denver on Labor Day weekend (Aug 31-Sept 3). It’s chocked full of food, food, food, and wheel barrows to get your stuffed butt to your car safely. (I’m kidding on the last part, but you’ll definitely be thinking I’m on to something when you leave this year)

It’s {free admission} foodie fun with funnel cakes, stuff on sticks, cupcakes galore.
You can nosh these treats while enjoying a fun concert – hello Pointer Sisters – I’m SO Excited! Or I bet you’d eat up that funnel cake while watching the Spin Doctors? Or maybe you’d rather two-step to Honky Tonk VooDoo as you attack your sweets on a stick.
Several local chefs will be showcasing their culinary expertise at the Fine Dining Area – Hello Keegan Gerhard of the Denver favorite, D Bar, showing off his French Macaroon mastery at 4:30 on Saturday. Or save up your appetite to open up a can of whoop-a$$ at the Ice Cream Eating contest on Sunday at 12:30 pm or Monday at 1:15 pm.
If you can sweet dream it, you can sweet do it at A Taste of Colorado.

OMG, yum! I am definitely going but not sure I will try all the items but funnel cake- yum!
