I promise I will leave all the ghost jokes out of this post.  I’m sure you got enough of them here and here.

I found out so much about the Whiskey bar at the Stanley Hotel, that how could I leave without trying a beautiful Manhattan?  And of course Jimmy was happy to obliged my thirst for more liquor.

Old Fashioned by Jimmy – at the Stanley Hotel Estes Park

Blood Orange

Cherry

Sugar Cube

Bitters – Peychauds

Corner Creek – Reserved Bourbon

Splash Sweet Vermouth

Combine blood orange, cherry, sugar cube and 2-3 dashes of bitters, mash it all up in the bottom of a glass.  Add 2 oz Corner Creek Bourbon, splash of sweet vermouth, strain over ice.  Sprinkle with soda water, for bubbles.

Enjoy with a friend, or Jimmy, either way.  Now who ya gonna call?

Psst..Think you’d enjoy this recipe?  You’ll probably enjoy Jimmy’s Black Orchid Martini too!

Like what you see?  Show them some sugar…
