There are certain times when only the sweet and salty combo can satisfy your craving. Thankfully we have people like Rachel Teichman of Tots and Plans to help us with easy recipes.
Rachel writes about fun things to do with kids in the SF Bay Area, and in her own backyard. She also cooks up delectable treats with her two little sweeties, and blogs about it at Tots and Plans. Isn’t she sweet?
½ cup pretzel thins, or any type of pretzels
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk or white chocolate chips)
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
2 Tbsp. sprinkles or jimmies
Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after each time. Once they are melted, stir in the peanut butter until the mixture is smooth. Line a plate or cookie sheet with wax paper, parchment paper or aluminum foil. Dip half of each pretzel into the chocolate mixture, and then place it on the plate. Once they are all dipped, top the chocolate sides with sprinkles. Cool in the refrigerator or freezer, and store them there as well. Use the non-dipped side as a little handle while eating. Or eat the plain side first, saving the chocolate for last!
