When you get a box of 240Sweet Marshmallows with the name “Hurts So Good” and flavors like Pineapple & Jalapeno, Thai Chili, and Ghost Pepper, you realize you’ve entered a world of hard-core, artisan marshmallows.
I know that the ghost pepper is the hottest pepper on the Scholville rating. It’s not just hot…it’s crazy hot. So, my husband and I did what any puff-y daredevil would do: we opened the Ghost Pepper Petite Puffs first.
My husband took a bite and swallowed quickly. He said that it wasn’t that hot. Huh? If I am going to eat a Ghost Pepper marshmallow, I want it to be hot! I took one, and unlike my husband, I didn’t swallow my marshmallow whole. I actually chewed it and OH. MY. Um, yeah, my husband was WRONG.
These marshmallows are indeed full of heat and I seriously can’t eat more than two at a time. My husband ate several more, but with my instruction that he can’t be swallowing them whole. He actually chewed them and realized he was as wrong as wrong could be…not only were they hot, but they were extremely intense.
The other two flavors were also hot, but nothing like the Ghost Pepper marshmallows. We enjoyed them all and they instantly became a fun conversation piece when people came over to our house.
If you aren’t afraid of some heat in your sweets, this is for you. I can see the Hurts So Good Collection being perfect for anyone who likes things super spicy. Skip the Christmas hot sauce gift packs and snag some of the Hurts So Good Petite Puffs…your spiciest friends will thank you.
