Coffee Cream Cheese Frosting. Oh the things I could do with it. Smother it on a cupcake (obv.), slap it on a piece of french toast, eat it with a ginormous spoon while hiding in a closet. The possibilities are endless.
Papercuts has so deliciously gifted us this delectable recipe. I hope you’ll go and pay her a visit on her site too. Without her, the world would be void of this recipe, and I’d be hunkered down in a closet with just a spoon and empty bowl.
Coffee Cream Cheese Frosting
1 – 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt
2 cups confectioners sugar
4 tsp instant coffee grounds
- In a medium bowl mix together cream cheese and sugar
- Beat in the vanilla, salt, and coffee until spreading consistency. Once completely blended, frosting will have a light coffee color. Cool frosting in the refrigerator to thicken to spreading consistency in warmer weather.
Note: This frosting is perfect on chocolate cake and cupcakes. If you’re a coffee lover, add more coffee for a deeper coffee flavor.
Like what you see? Show them some sugar…
