Jaclyn Douma, Phoenix, AZ

Originally from Southern California, Jaclyn and her husband ventured off to Arizona as newlyweds in the fall of 2007. During their first year of marriage, Jaclyn wrote and organized her first cookbook titled Our First Year: Cost Effective Recipes from the Home of Newlyweds which highlights over 80 budget friendly recipes, along with several how-to’s, cooking advice and party suggestions; perfect for those entering into the life of two! She has worked in marketing & creative design, a published author, mother, wife and always loves trying new recipes & restaurants.  When she’s not strolling the aisles of gourmet grocery shops for enjoyment or sipping hot coffee, you can usually find her in the kitchen, with her son on one hip, daughter helping along side and a spatula in hand.If Jaclyn were a dessert she’d be a slice of warm, freshly baked, red velvet cake drizzled with a homemade cream cheese icing paired with a scoop of her parents homemade sweet cream ice cream, along with, of course, a pipping hot cup of black coffee kissed with milk in her favorite photo mug of her kiddos.Visit Jaclyn’s cookbook website at www.mysugarnspicelife.com or food blog called Honey Crust at www.passion2crave.blogspot.com

I look forward to reading what Jackie has to say about the places she has been and the great taste she experiences. I have tried several of the desserts she has shared about from the Arizona restaurants and have found that every word she uses to describe is exactly what I tasted. I can’t wait to venture in to some place that I’ve never been, but knowing Jaclyn has, I won’t be disappointed.

Its so fun reading about all the deserts you’ve tasted and the cute places you visit. You are great at finding the “mom & pop” shops that make nothing but the best. You are a credit to society by way of sharing where us sugar-lovers need to visit. And yes, coffee is a must…. ,

thanks Jackie
