The American Flag Cake by Karen Sohl, General Manager of The Grocery Game

1 White Cake Mix

1 Strawberry Jell-O (6oz)

1 cup Boiling Water

1 Instant Vanilla Pudding (5 oz)

2 cups Milk

2 Bananas, Sliced

1 lb Strawberries, Sliced

1 pint Fresh Blueberries

1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream

Prepare the cake mix according to package directions in 13x9x2″ pan; cool completely on wire rack. Place cake on wire rack over sheet of waxed paper. Poke cake using a fork, at 1″ intervals

Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, stirring for about 2 minutes. Slowly drizzle over cake to allow Jell-O to seep into holes. Chill 1 hour

Prepare whipped cream: Pour well-chilled whipping cream into mixing bowl. Add powdered sugar and whip until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until ready to use

Prepare pudding according to package instructions, using 2 cups milk. Fold in 1 cup whipped cream and 1/2 cup blueberries. Split cake in half horizontally. Fill with pudding mixture

Spread remaining whipping cream over top and sides of cake. Arrange remaining blueberries, strawberries and bananas on cake to resemble a flag.
