Who doesn’t love them some good ol’ cream? Oranges and Cream….Berries and Cream…..and then there’s Strawberries and Cream! Mmm..Mmm…Mmm….even just saying the word “cream” makes me lick my lips in delight! James Farmer of Sip and Savor is sharing with us today his recipe for a Strawberry Blonde. I love his little tagline saying: “They say gentlemen prefer blondes . . . well, this gentlemen will take a Strawberry Blonde any day!” — Yes, Mr. Farmer – You are SO RIGHT!
2 cups strawberries, tops removed
1 cup 2 percent milk
1 1 /2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 /4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon good vanilla
Whipped Cream or Whipped Vanilla Bean Crème Fraîche
Blend strawberries, milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla together until fluffy and smooth.
Add ice to the blender for slush, if desired. Garnish each glass with a dollop of Whipped
Cream or Whipped Vanilla Bean Crème Fraiche.
