Sometimes you have a hard time committing to trying new flavors. As I stand in front of the refrigerated beverages at my favorite liquor store, I pop a DumDum in my son’s mouth to keep him busy, as I waiver between all the luscious flavors of Mike’s Hard. Do I go with the standby, and classic Lemonade? Do I branch out to a new flavor taking a total risk that it might not be as good as my standby flavor? Oooh, the decisions, I can’t handle it!!! Then my son has finished his pop and he’s ready to move on, like jump out of the cart move on, and I have not yet decided. So I panic and go with what I know. You ever feel the same way?
Introducing the Mike’s Hard Winter Grab Bag. The first mixed selection of new holiday flavors from Mike’s, in stores now. And they’re quite scrumptious, I might add. 3 flavors in one 6 pack, all just for you and me – the indecisive crowd. The bunch consists of Chocolate Cherry, Winter Blackberry ,and Cranberry Lemonade. All three flavors will be wetting your whistle this winter season.
I was most intrigued with the Chocolate Cherry flavor. Upon opening it up, it smelled a little different, but sucking that baby down tasted very similar to a Cherry Tootsie Pop. I was in heaven and even featured them on the Mom TV show recently, watch me make them here. Of course since I try add something to everything, I made it into a Chocolate Cherry Adult Float. Start your standing ovation….NOW!
Mike’s Hard Chocolate Cherry Floats
makes 1 float
2 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream – I used Blue Bell Vanilla
1 Mikes Hard Chocolate Cherry
Spoon one scoop of ice cream in the bottom of a float glass. Slowly pour Chocolate Cherry over the top, being careful not to let it foam too much. When the glass is 2/3 full, plop another scoop on top. Add your favorite glass straw for a more sophisticated float.
And PS, how cute are those glass eco-chic straws? You’re saying, SOOOOO CUTE! Read more about Glass Dharma straws here.
Like what you see? Show them some sugar…

I’ve decided I can’t make these until I find the perfect glass for it. Anyone else have a glassware problem? As in….you collect too many.
