Who’s ready to start making Christmas candy? I hope that most of you have raised your hands in excitement because that is exactly what I have been doing the last few days.
Take a look at the pan I have been using the 12 Days of Christmas Non-stick Pan/Mold by Big Kitchen.
When I tell you that this pan is heavy duty, that is exactly what I mean. The pan is made in a bronze non-stick finish with side handles that make the pan easier to handle. My first attempt at using the pan was making cookies however this did not work out that well. I am thinking this happened because I placed a little too much cookie dough into the individual cavities. Aside from my oversight, the pan was excellent to bake with – the cookies kept their shape and slid out of the pan very easily without breaking. I still wasn’t satisfied, however.
There I was, in the kitchen, just staring at the pan thinking, “I cannot let you defeat me!” That’s when I made a second attempt and struck gold…er….I mean…I struck chocolate!
The 12 Days of Christmas pan is the perfect mold for chocolate.
Pouring the melted chocolate into the twelve mold cavities was child’s play. The handles came in handy – making it very easy to tap the pan to release any air bubbles. The chocolate candy was completely set in less than five minutes. Oh, and as far as taking the candy out of the mold…that was completely painless – I didn’t even have to flip the pan over!
I only made one dozen chocolate candies, but I can tell you now – I will certainly be a busy bee before the holidays. Not only do I plan on making more of the 12 Days of Christmas candies but I am also plan on making a second attempt baking shortbread cookies in it…wish me luck!
Like what you see? Show them some sugar…
