Walk in to any Buca di Beppo and you will instantly feel like family! So it only made sense that I also got to spend some time with Executive Chef, Marcelo Cardoza, right IN the kitchen….just like family. First, I have to confess. While in high school, I worked as a hostess and wait assistant for Buca, so I was even more excited to return to my Italian roots – well, at least I can still sing along to the restaurant’s lively soundtrack. That is not all that is lively about Buca di Beppo. Every visit here is punctuated with festive food offerings, welcoming staff, and of course the traditional tchotchkes lining the walls.
Dessert at Buca di Beppo is just as share-able as the rest of their menu. Served family style, perfect for celebrating the latest star of the school play or a special wedding anniversary. Here’s what Marcelo made me first, yes, he insisted I try just about EVERY dessert on their menu – did I mention they are all served family style?
Not only did I love the Colossal Brownie Sundae, but I am a huge fan of their Tiramisu and Cheesecake – both made fresh “in house”. Fair warning, their Tiramisu definitely has a rum taste to it – and that makes it so delicious!
The Colossal Brownie Sundae is a crowd pleaser! Perfect if you are out for a family dinner because who can complain about delectable brownies and rich ice cream?
Many of you will be able to rush into the Buca di Beppo nearest you…you know they do have stores nationwide!
Like what you see? Show them some sugar…
