You’ll want to skip over the Corned Beef and Cabbage, and possibly even the green beer (nah, go ahead with the beer) to get to this cake. It quickly became the “Ford Household’s Finest Caramel Apple Cake”. I would bake one of these every day just for the smell it leaves lingering in my house. Oh and it wouldn’t be an Irish recipe without the hooch – a shot or three (one for the cake, and two for you) of fine Irish Whiskey sends your sweet tooth into a whirlwind.
