If you had a chance to read my review on Tonto’s Bar & Grill than you’ll know my true love for their Chef, Amanda Crick. Her attention to detail is priceless and passion she has for her desserts is remarkable.
I had the honor of enjoying another set of desserts from their sister restaurant, Cartwrights Sonoran Ranch House located in Cave Creek, Arizona. Chef Amanda Crick once again out does herself with the quality ingredients and desserts that leave you dreaming for more.
First up was Cartwrights Fresh Tart Apple & Brioche French Toast Stack with Honeyed Pecans, Caramel Drizzle, Maple Anglaise & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.You love it already don’t you? The complete smoothness I experienced with the brioche french toast grilled stack was remarkable and then to enjoy fresh apples throughout was amazing.
My favorite of the evening was her Banana and Coconut Cream Pie made with Caramelized Banana’s, Macadamia Nuts, Dark Rum & Banana Syrup which was creamy and sweet. But my heart leaped for joy when I enjoyed the cookie she pairs along side this Banana Pie. Sweet Loving Truth 101: I totally saved this cookie for my mid-night snack – It was spectacular as my fridge light let off just enough glow to illuminate the kitchen walls. Bliss.
As you enjoy the small town of Cave Creek, be sure to make Cartwrights a priority in your day. You can thank me later when you’re enjoying a late night snack.
