Crave (ing) more dessert {Denver}

I don’t think there is anything wrong with indulging in a little “Dessert in a Glass” at 10 am…Right? It is work after all, and if work calls for drinking at the tender time of “whatever o’clock” am, well then I will do my duties because I don’t want to get fired.

Enter this amazing little hot spot where decadent desserts meet a little taste of uber-trendy Chicago, right in the hub of fast-paced-ville of downtown Denver, off 14th St.  Years ago 14th street was once known to be a bit scary to walk on at any time of day, now I find myself wondering how I can vacation on their street-front patio sipping and eating my days away.  Crave is a land-locked sea of desserts, anything from edible to drinkable, you’ll find something truly gourmet with a luxurious spin.

I’ve got a truly fantastic pairing that needs to be added to your list of things to do for a Happy Hour, after the next convention you’re attending, girls night out, or even after taking in the Opera at the Buell Theater.

For sipping:  Dessert in a Glass – Cupcake Vodka, White Chocolate-Cinnamon Espresso, Cinnamon-Infused Whipped Cream.  Liquid art in a martini glass;  shaken, not stirred of course…

For eating:  Don’t stop at just the Dessert in a Glass, introduce your beverage to a companion, the Vanilla Dusted Donuts – and ask for extra Vanilla Anglaise for dipping.  These donut holes are fried to perfection and then rolled in superfine vanilla sugar.  The holes dipped in the Vanilla anglaise gives you the taste of a gourmet filled donut, so delicious, and not just for breakfast.

Just like spirits aren’t only for after 5 pm. {in my book}

Like what you see?  Show them some sugar…
