Doughnuts Cookbook

Whatever would we do without doughnuts?  The excitement of Sundays, church functions, grocery store bribery for my son, and socially acceptable morning cake would be lackluster. Ho hum.  Less than boring.  Thankfully we have the genius invention and our worlds are full of colorful sprinkles and excitement, thanks to, well, whoever invented the doughnut.  We bow down and thank you.

And since we have this breakfast confection it’s nice to be able to stay home in your jammies and make them for yourself, or share with your family, on occasion.  Dede Wilson created “A Baker’s Field Guide to Doughnuts” {Harvard Common Press}.  A cookbook filled with “doughnutting” tips, tricks, and mounds of delicious recipes.  The tough part is going to be choosing which one to create and destroy first. Amazing original recipes to a few copycats, my mouth is watering.
