Grace’s Sweet Life has to be the most sexiest dessert cookbook I have ever laid my eyes on. When the cookbook arrived I had no idea that the cookbook I was about to open would literally take my breath away. As the title states – “Grace’s Sweet Life” is just that – sweet.
With her cookbook, Grace Massa Langlois takes you on a visual journey through Italy. The recipes are for traditional homemade Italian desserts – you know all the classics: Cannoli, Tiramisu, and even Panna Cotta. Yum-Yum!
I will confess: I love all Italian desserts, however, I have to say after drooling, I’m sorry, I mean reading through the pages of decadent recipes, I found myself in Heaven at the Pastries and Fried Desserts section. I am not going to lie – when I turned the page it was as if I heard the dessert angels singing: “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!”
If you find that last statement hard to believe, let me just give you a run down of Grace’s recipes: Sicilian Cannoli, Chocolate Pastry Cream – Filled Puff Pastry Horns, Italian Honey Balls, Italian Cream Filled Doughnuts and lastly, but not least, Chocolate Croissants.
Having Grace’s Sweet Life among my collection of cookbooks, is truly an honor. The recipes, the font, (yes I said font) and delicious photos are simply exquisite!
