Faux Pas Bistro, the newest addition to the LA food scene, is serving up desserts that will make you add this place to your list of favorites and skip the meal before the dessert! I had the pleasure of tasting Chef Oz Ramuco’s delicious creations and from the first bite I knew I would be frequenting this location.
I am a lover of all things chocolate and their Chocolate Truffle Mousse Cake did not disappoint. Full of rich chocolate flavors from the finest Callebaut Chocolate, this cake is “3 layers of moist chocolate cake layered with Amaretto infused chocolate mousse.” This cake literally melts in your mouth! It’s coated with a chocolate ganache and finished off with grated bitter sweet chocolate and a small topping of whipped ricotta and goat cheese. Add their french press coffee to this dessert and you’ve got the perfect treat!
Second on my tasting list was Chef Ramuco’s take on a classic Italian dessert, Tiramisu. This dessert is uniquely served in a wine glass. Layers upon layers of homemade scotch soaked lady fingers are nestled between light whipped cream and topped with chocolate shavings. Not only is this dessert beautiful in presentation, and it’s a delight to your taste buds.
