Hummingbird Bakeshop {Denver}

Cupcakes I cannot get out of my head.  Literally, I still have buttercream stuck in my hair from motor-boating a half dozen cupcakes sent from Hummingbird Bakeshop.  I truly am saving it for later because they rock at creating some of the best frosting I have ever tasted.  And perfectly proportioned at 50/50 (half cake, half frosting).

Light, fluffy, yet still sweet and buttery.  And the cake?  While keeping them in my fridge for a few days, you’d assume they’d come out a little dry and harder, NOPE!  Just as fresh as the first day I picked them up.  Truly spectacular.  

It was a toss up between the Chocolate Caramel and the Almond Poppyseed Cupcakes.  The Chocolate Caramel, just the perfect amount of chocolate, and the caramel drizzle, I could have eaten with a spoon.  The Almond Poppyseed was so light I could have eaten a whole dozen without feeling over-sugared.  Scrumptious.
