New Adult Ice Cream from The Langham Chicago!!!

We know  you probably think that ice cream is a kids’ dessert. Sure everyone loves it, but who gets as excited for the ice cream man as kids? Who begs to stop at the nearest creamery, like, constantly, despite how far off schedule it takes? Who’s constantly being warned about ice cream ruining their appetite for dinner? Kids right?

That makes us think that ice cream may be a more adult-oriented food than most believe. Who controls the flow of ice cream? Who drives the ice cream van? Who puts ice cream high up in the supermarket freezer so the kids can’t reach it? Adults do. Maybe this is all due to an ice cream identity conflict. The kids are allowed to love it, and the adults are supposed to be responsible about it. Maybe adults wouldn’t have to be SO controlling over it if we had amazing ice cream of our own?

That’s where Pavilion at The Langham, Chicago comes in. They’ve crafted a whole line of adult themed ice creams, ranging from the simply delicious to the extravagant. Below is a snippet from their release and all of their tasty flavors. Adults – it’s your turn to indulge!


Boasting a soaring ceiling and marvelous city view, Pavilion is an elegant space in which to unwind and enjoy the finest flavors created by Executive Pastry Chef Scott Green. Parlour at the Pavilion emulates a vintage-style ice cream parlor with a whimsical staff wearing retro-style uniforms, select homemade ice cream and sorbet flavors, and original water-color concept sketches by Chef Scott Green.


“I based this menu on the flavors and treats I enjoyed as a kid, while also creating unique dessert concepts that spoke to all sorts of audiences – kids and adults,” says Chef Scott Green. “Ice cream is a year-round craving and the added alcohol component simply makes it that much more versatile for guests to indulge throughout all seasons.”

Gin, crème de violette, Luxardo Maraschino, lemon sorbet, burgundy cherry ice cream, violet ice cream, candied violet petals, amarena cherries, candied lemon peel, and whipped cream


The Manhattan

Cherry Cola, bourbon, bourbon caramel ice cream, burgundy cherry ice cream, toasted almonds, amarena cherries, cherry sauce, and whipped cream


The Napoli

Limoncello, San Pellegrino Limonata, lemon sorbet, lemon ice cream, vanilla ice cream, lemon pate de fruit, crème anglaise, and whipped cream


The Chicagoland

Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, chocolate ice cream, Garrett’s Caramel Popcorn, cheesecake bites, chocolate cake, hot fudge, salted caramel, whipped cream, and cherry


The Saturday Morning Cartoon

Rocky Road ice cream, Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms marshmallows, Peanut Butter Capn’ Crunch, Golden Grahams, chocolate milk, and whipped cream


The Graceland

Peanut Butter Cup ice cream, chocolate ice cream, banana ice cream, fresh banana, peanuts, banana chip brittle, hot fudge, peanut butter, and salted caramel
