Peppermint Pattie S’mores {Recipe}

My second installment in “How to Open up a Can of WhoopA… on Valentine’s Day” includes Hershey’s York Peppermint Pattie Hearts.  Peppermint Pattie S’mores with the chill of peppermint, and rich dark chocolate – you’ll get the sensation *insert hair blowing in the wind*. (So sue me, I plagiarized all that from their commercials)

Peppermint Pattie Smores

I love indoor s’mores, and gourmet ones at that.  Why not add the minty fresh sensation to the campfire classic?  It’s actually quite delicious and since Peppermint Patties are soft, you won’t make a huge mess eating  them either (they don’t need to be heated up either, making them slightly cleaner).  Heat up the microwave, or kitchen torch, either way you’ll be licking your fingers clean in a matter of minutes – from start to finish.

York Peppermint Patties – I used Heart miniatures

2 Chocolate Wafer Cookies

Large Marshmallow

Indoor Recipe – Place a wafer cookie on a microwave safe plate, and place a marshmallow on top.  Microwave for less than 10 seconds (watch it, when it starts to grow, open the door and take it out), have Peppermint Pattie and top cookie ready to add to the top.  If you like your marshmallow crispy on the outside, use your kitchen torch, being careful not to torch your fingers, to add some crisp to the outside of the marshmallow.

Outdoor Recipe – Put a marshmallow on a stick, put in the fire until desired crisp-ness, place on a wafer cookie.  Add Peppermint Pattie and second wafer cookie to the top creating a sandwich.
