Sprinkles Queen Miss Candace Nelson has created the Sprinkles Cupcake kit. So even if you’re not near one of her delicious sweet shops you can make your own dozen at home using their special ingredients and secret Sprinkles recipes, wearing your own apron. Choose from Red Velvet, Dark Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon, Banana, Pumpkin, Spice, and Chocolate Peppermint.
I tried the Vanilla, and I’ll have you know that they almost didn’t make it past the batter stage. A batter so sweet with vanilla, it was like a huge rainbow burst in my mouth. Pretty sure I saw a unicorn fly by my head. Anywhoo – Candace even gives you tips about frosting your cupcakes just like the Sprinkles Pros do. As you can see, I need a little Sprinkles Frosting 101, I’ve got some work to do. However, topping them off with the modern dot, made my frosting mess more appealing and distracted people from looking at them too closely. Jenny = 1, Cupcakes = 0. Though not a total loss for the cupcakes, they rock in flavor – moist, sweet, and now I’m going to dig in to another.
