Drinking on a High Note at Punch Bowl Social
There are many things Denverites love to indulge in during a snowstorm and for me there is a new to-do. Karaoke anyone? That’s right, I recently discovered an ideal winter weather hideaway.
Punch Bowl Social is offering a new flavor of fun, a private karaoke room for the Denver entertainment scene. For $25.00 an hour smaller groups of one to five people can enjoy the space, while larger groups of six to ten are welcome at the price of $35.00 an hour. The room is cozy and comfortable, a picturesque retreat away from Mother Nature. The closed off area has everything one could need: endless amounts of songs, a phenomenal sound system, and most importantly an extensive food and beverage list.
Not sure about your vocal talents? Here’s a tip, order one of the bar’s signature punch bowls and let the sweet sips calm those singing nerves. My party’s drink of choice was the Royal Hutch Punch, which included Bacardi 8 Year Rum, St. Germain, lime juice, white tea, and Fee Bros’ Peach Bitters. The culmination of ingredients was refreshing yet unique and housed the perfect amount of liquid courage. In no time at all our entire group had joined in song, singing away the winter blues.
And obviously we indulged in some food. The crowd favorite was PBS’s Strawberry Melted Leek Quesadilla. This bite sized treat is savory, sweet, and a very fitting finger food for the activity at hand. The tasting concluded with PBS’s adult milkshakes. Even on a cold February night Milk-Xologist #2 and Malted Maple Royale were impeccable picks for a nightcap; my sweet tooth sang with joy.
Bottom line, no matter the weather this private karaoke room rocks (pun intended). I look forward to returning to Denver’s newest treasure for my next group outing.
