Stuffed at Butterhorn Bakery {Frisco, CO}

You know you’ve hit the jackpot when the joint is packed.  Packed with people, packed with freshly baked goods.  Oodles and oodles of bakery deliciousness piled sky high.  Did I strip naked and jump into all of them?  If my husband hadn’t been with me I would have (he turns all red when I do things like that).

I took this lil guy to go, buckling it safely into the car.  I wanted to sit with it late at night.  I wanted us to have a nice conversation, maybe a little wine (not too much, of course.  I’m a lady.)…but what I really wanted was to linger a while, making googly eyes at each other.  Me, admiring its butter-creamy filling and triple C’s (3 types of chocolate. Get your head outta the gutter).  It, admiring the drool hanging from my ruby red lips while I debate going the polite route, with a knife and fork, or just cram it in.

I take the easy route and cram it in.  Lovingly, of course.  The cookie has the texture of a fresh baked brownie, loaded with a trifecta of chocolate; dark, milk and white.  The buttercream filling so fresh it was as if they had pilgrims in the back of the bakery milking their cows and churning the fresh butter for it. Outrageously good.

Like what you see?  Show them some sugar…
