Yesterday’s memories delivered today, Sweet Sally’s now offers gluten free treats for those of you following a gluten-free diet. Even if you’re not part of the “gluten-free crowd”, I recommend giving these treats a whirl. Sweet Sally’s offers about a dozen gluten-free dessert options, so there’s sure to be something that appeals to everyone.
I put my taste buds to the test with the gluten-free salted caramel macaroons and gluten-free tangy lemon bars. I didn’t think it was possible to find a coconut macaroon that could achieve hierarchy over the coconut macaroons from my favorite bakery in the Twin Cities, but these decadent treats managed to achieve that title! They are fresh and chewy and the tastes of vanilla and toasted coconut really stand out. And the caramel? Oh don’t even get me started on the caramel
The gluten-free tangy lemon bars were equally as good, with the “tastes like your grandma’s lemon bars”, that brings back memories to your childhood days. Coming from a girl who likes to eat lemons by the slice, these guys provided just enough tang to have me grabbing for another.
Like what you see? Show them some sugar…
