With the variation of winter weather this season, there is nothing like a cup of hot cocoa to keep you sane. However, when weather freezes over an entire city, or in my case, brings rain storms, adding a splash of liquor to liven this warm staple is always welcome. During the fall 2013, Cabo Wabo Tequila introduced a new bottle with a bite – Cabo Diablo, a coffee liqueur with tequila blanco. This mix is definitely a great addition to any warm beverage, or served chilled. For those of you who are fans of ice coffee, spill a swig into your cup, mix ‘er up, and prepare for an ice-cold sensation to blaze your senses. The body and notes of this new creation holds an essence of bold taste and flavors. At 35% ABV, this smooth blend of vanilla, coffee, subtle hints of chocolate, and tequila tingle the tip of your tongue for an enjoyable experience. While the name Diablo translates as Devil, this concoction isn’t as harsh, or jarring with red horns with every sip. It’s more so a unique stamp of flavor applied to the typical coffee liqueur.
Choose to chill Cabo Diablo, and you will be greeted with a frosty surprise on the bottle label.
