TOASTED OPEN-FACED ICE-CREAM SANDWICH WITH CARAMELIZED BANANAS & TOASTED COCONUT
Makes 8 servings
1 Challah King loaf cut into – 8 (3/4-inch) toasted
3 bananas – sliced
Brown sugar – to taste
1 tablespoon butter
1 quart vanilla or other flavor ice cream
1/4 cup toasted coconut
Mint – garnish
Directions
In a pre heated sauté pan melt butter. Once butter begins to foam add the bananas and sauté for 2 minutes, add brown sugar and gently mix the bananas. Cook for another minute and place on a plate to stop the cooking
Toast challah and top with caramelized bananas, ice cream, toasted coconut and mint.
Serve immediately
