I had been dreaming of making a dessert pizza for years. Not exactly sure why I didn’t make one sooner, but I do know I will now be making it more often. Auntie Anne’s, the delicious soft pretzel company most often times found at malls, is now available at your local grocer. Over-Joyed here! I admit, I made a box of the savory pretzels as afternoon snacks for the kiddos – so easy to
eat, err, I mean make – seriously, it was like I just stopped at my local Auntie Anne’s and picked up a hot, buttery, soft pretzel.
But more importantly, the dessert pizza. How would it stack up? I pondered. I tried it and….wait for it….it was HEAVENLY. The crust is crispy and cinnamon-sugary sweet, your “sauce” is a luscious mixture of marshmallow fluff and cream cheese. And as if it couldn’t get any better, top it with your favorite, seasonal, fresh fruit – I went for sugared strawberries and blueberries – fall peaches and blueberries would be wonderful too. I’ll be up for pizza night any night!
