Take a simple European truffle with complex flavors and a rich decadent deep dark American chocolate brownie and meld the two together for a taste that’s truly unique and name it “Truffnies“. That’s exactly what you get when you cross these two paths, a taste that will leave you wanting not just a little bite, but the entire pan.
Flavors truly unique to brownies – try your taste buds at my favorite of the bunch, Strawberry Lemon Pepper. Yes, Pepper adds a little punch to this little bite-sized heaven, though not overwhelming, the refreshing flavors of the strawberry & lemon (a flavor force to be reckoned with, in my book). And it’s amazing that you can still taste the richness of the chocolate in the brownie.
With all of these flavors going on, it’s no wonder they won 1st Place in the Best Open Class category at this year’s Colorado Chocolate Festival (judged by yours truly – ya, that’s me…squeeeeeal!)
Like what you see? Show them some sugar…

Sounds like a great marriage of dessert-types. And I love it when there’s an unexpected flavor (well, most of the time!).

Oh my gosh, my husband would be all over this! He is pepper’s biggest fan and he’d love this Strawberry Lemon Pepper truffle.

Pepper almost never disappoints. (Unless you’re under 10. Then it almost always disappoints.) But for the rest of us it’s a fantastic idea.
