I LOVE whoopie pies. They are that simple-pleasure kind of dessert that I will always gravitate toward.
So, yeah – I was kind of excited to receive a BOX of whoopie pies (cue angels singing) this week, courtesy of All Kinds of Whoopie.
I opened the box to find myself greeted by 3 varieties:
“Morning Whoopies” (don’t go there. Okay, I did go there.) – Ready? Pancake/bacon cake with maple frosting. Yes.
“Dark Indulgence Whoopies” – chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting.
And finally, “Momma’s Boy” – red velvet heart with cream cheese frosting, decorated with the iconic “Mom” tattoo design.
They were (yes, they’re all gone) delicious – moist, tender cake and yummy, flavorful fillings.

Bonus round? Adriana’s Red Velvet Cake Truffles, coated with milk chocolate and decorated with dark chocolate swirls.
Usually it’s easy for me to pick my favorite. Not so much this time. But if I HAD to (rough job, right?), I’d keep a steady supply of those cake truffles in my kitchen at all times. Doing “small” right is not easy. But Adriana nailed it with these truffles. One two three truffles, with a cup of tea – the perfect indulgence.
